The HydroFoamer system is protected by a robust, internationally anchored intellectual property portfolio. Our core Dutch patent (NL2014216B1) forms the basis of a global family of patents across multiple jurisdictions—including the United States, Eurasia, Nigeria, and Mexico.
This initial patent protects the use of rigid polymer foams as a structural backfill alternative for GRP pipelines—replacing concrete thrust blocks and gravel in both straight and curved geometries.
Two additional patents extend and reinforce the platform:
- The second patent covers the robotic spray platform itself, including automation of polymer application in the field and integration with digital quality control and mobile power systems.
- The third patent focuses on oil & gas sector applications, protecting the use of foam encapsulation around steel pipelines in chemically aggressive or high-pressure environments. This includes protection against corrosion, uplift, lateral instability, and the ability to backfill with native or marginal soils—dramatically improving constructability in challenging terrain.
In addition to formal IP, HydroFoamer maintains proprietary simulation models, validated test data, and deep field engineering knowledge around foam behavior—including creep, thrust resistance, and geotechnical load paths.
We welcome detailed technical dialogue under NDA and can provide access to claims, design files, and performance data to qualified parties.
